The second best thing you do after riding your basic bicycle home is to get it insured! OK! Prehaps you should take a picture of it and then then get it insured.
If you ride a basic bicycle, lets hope that you have no free hands to play with the gadgets or have your ears plugged with an mp3 player!
Accidents, are happening around us a lot. Even though we drive our vehicles as carefully as possible but it is always the other drivers that we have to worry about - right?
How can we cope with the potential of an accident? Being aware of everything around ue when we ride or drive and not getting distracted by cell phones, dvd players, gps systems etc. Of course its easy for me to say all of this, but you know that what I'm writing about is very often true.
Get rid of the distraction and concentrate more on riding or driving, and then you will be able to deal more speedily with the other driver's bad driving.

Nah, he's only ... By: Iwannakillmylandlord. on 06 Oct 09, 13:22:16 Nah, he's only chasing the threads, not cutting them, and he's only removing paint when facing BB shell and shaving a little bit of metal to parallel the faces but not much.
What I don't get is why doesn't he lube the DS BB cup when installing the crankarms, he does on the NDS.
Nice thing about the super record is you don't even need lube for the cult bearings. Campy says to use a light oil only to keep em' quiet (they are impervious to corrosion). Smoothest setup I ever had.

Yeah, you need a ' ... By: Iwannakillmylandlord. on 06 Oct 09, 13:35:38 Yeah, you need a 'lot' of Loctite, basically you want to cover the threads. The Loctite is anaerobic (cures in the absence of air). Also, Loctite 222 is low strength, easily disassembled with hand tools.
What I don't understand is why Campy calls this an 'alternative procedure' when this is exactly what is described in the literature that came with my SR as opposed to a dry fit as shown in their other video. Go figure!

I had a Firex ... By: bedbugg1. on 17 Apr 10, 21:07:53 I had a Firex crankset, but a bit older than your's installed on my bike, but it broke because I didn't torque the bottom bracket cups properly, and my bottom bracket shell hadn't been faced for an external BB, so make sure the BB is properly set up otherwise it can wear extremely fast! and it might be worth getting a higher end bottom bracket for it? but it is a great crankset and is very light and stiff, how is your bike with the new cranks installed?
